How to request account deletion
Choose any one of the options below. Options B and C work without the app.
Option A · In the app
Use the Account tab
- Open the Rocket Car Rentals Vietnam app and sign in.
- Go to the Account tab and tap Delete account.
- Read what is removed and what is kept, tap “Request account deletion”, then confirm with “Yes, request deletion”. In the app, submitting the request signs you out of every device straight away.
Option B · On our website
Use your account page
- Open your account page and sign in with your usual method: an emailed single-use link or Google.
- Open Profile, find Data & Privacy, choose Request account deletion, and confirm.
Option C · By email
Contact our team
Email us from the address registered on your account. We reply within 2 working days, and a member of our team records your request in the same process, with the same 20-day deadline, described below.
Send your request to:
info@rocketcarrentalsvietnam.com
02
Delete specific data while keeping your account
Email us from the address registered on your account. Identify the personal data you want deleted and clearly say that you want to keep your account open. Our team will verify and process your request; sending an email does not erase data automatically. Records we must retain for accounting or an unresolved dispute follow the retention periods below.
Copies of ID cards, passports and driver’s licenses attached to a booking: We also keep these copies while a related payment or vehicle-problem support case is unresolved, even without a formal dispute; normal retention resumes once the case is resolved.

What happens after you ask in the app or on the website
- We record your request and confirm by email within 2 working days that we received it, with the date we will finish by.
- Your data is not erased yet. A member of our team completes the request within 20 days (30 days if a service provider must delete data for us). If we need more time we may extend once, by up to 20 days, and we will email you the reason.
- We email you the result. If we cannot delete something because the law requires us to keep it, or we cannot complete the request, our email explains what and why.
04
What is deleted
- Documents saved to your account, such as ID, passport or driver's licence copies, and their stored files (except a copy still attached to a booking, see below).
- Your sign-in data: every web and app session, emailed sign-in links, two-step verification settings, and recovery codes.
- Push notification registrations for your devices.
- Your profile details, such as name, email address and phone number. The account is closed and can no longer be used to sign in.

What we keep, and for how long
Some records stay because they document a rental and its payments. These periods are the retention periods in Rocket's Privacy Policy.
- Invoices, receipts and payment, deposit and refund records: kept for 10 years from the end of the financial year, as Vietnam's accounting law requires for accounting records. Rental contracts and booking records are kept for the same period under Rocket's own policy, because they support those accounting records. Deleting your account does not change them, so details you entered for a booking stay in them until that period ends.
- Copies of ID cards, passports and driver's licenses attached to a booking: deleted 90 days after the rental is completed, unless they are needed for an unresolved dispute (Rocket policy). We also keep these copies while a related payment or vehicle-problem support case is unresolved, even without a formal dispute; normal retention resumes once the case is resolved.
